Some people FUCKED up big time

This post has been a result of me sitting mostly free during my internship. I have lately been to many corners of the internet, so many that I can prove it to be round...lol... I have learnt crap about many things crap and have spent like a zillion hours exploring anything on google.
I don't know how but I stumbled upon the topic of POK (Pakistan Occupied Kashmir). I read about its history and geography and about the Karakoram Highway which was nicknamed as the 8th wonder of the world due to the shear challenge of making a road around 50 odd 7000+ m peaks. It was basically a strategic move by Pakistan with help of China to gain dominance in Kashmir. Leaving it here, all the politics and controversies and huge defence budgets, both the governments should realise the amount of lives being lost and above that the amount of natural beauty being lost. You would have heard these lines a million times before this, but mostly its from the perspective of Jammu and Kashmir that we Indians know; but here we are talking about the whole Himalayan (once a royal) state.
What has astounded me the most is the Karakoram region, maybe which has been preserved only due to the conflict, a region which has been totally isolated and brought situations of a fairytale to life. "the Paradise on Earth". Like any other Indian I think we have full right over this area. Other people may think otherwise but in this name-blame-lame game we are loosing the best of the best.
Following are a collection of pictures:

And if this wasn't enough to leave you speechless, there is a legendary story about the golden paradise, why is it golden after all :

  3. xactly...the two govt. Not just right now but since 1947 and also the international agencies like the UN which intervened in both 47 and 65 wars or even the big Suker Mr.USA who is always insecure.

  4. I feel USA like any other country, is protecting its own interests. It would be wrong on your part to blame any other country for terrorism/Kashmir problem. FYI, Pres. Obama in a statement after 11/26 attacks on Mumbai said that India had the full right to take action in order to protect its sovereignty, but what did we do? Nothing. And in the LS elections, the voter turnout in Mumbai was barely 43%. Whatever happened to all those Mumbaikars who were seen with candles at the Gateway of India.
I would suggest before throwing dirt at other people we see our own faults. Did you cast your vote this time Abhinav?

  5. Dear Mr.USA
Yes I'm going to vote this wednesday. It was sad to see a low turnout. I'm not only putting USA under the hammer but also India and Pakistan too. Since you raised the topic; it was USA that funded ISI through CIA for long and maybe today also. There is no denial from USA raising and training Mujahedeen forces in Afganistan which we know now as Taliban, Lashkar etc. India is a peaceful nation and follows rationale approach it does not go around dropping nuclear bombs on innocent people. You are talking about turnout, never after 1970 there has been more turnout in USA than in India. And yes I agree that it is India and Pakistan most responsible for the menace. Did you vote?

  6. Hi Abhinav,
The things you have said about US are true to some extent. But you must observe that the govt. and Americans are much more patriotic (in the actual sense) than any of us. APJ Abdul Kalam, who was arguably the most popular president India has ever had, in a speech said that "Every Indian is out there to rape the country..." And I agree with it completely. You, me, everyone has 'raped' the country. Haven't we? And then we talk about how India is going to be a super power, and the competition with China. But all that is an illusion. In reality we all know India is still where it was 60 years ago. The poor are getting poorer, incidents like Gujrat Riots, organizations like Shiv Sena and Ram Sene, and the list goes on. And what do we say in the end, India is shining. Is it Abhinav?

  7. We have digressed a lot from the intial topic. But still I feel pleased to clarify your doubts. Patriotism is a very subjective term, it is totally an individuals choice how he or she counters it. Before continuing any further I would like to know your take on this 'word'. And for your other queries it would be very pessimistic on your part to say India is there where it was 60 years ago. Yes I very humbly accept that we have done a lot wrong to this nation, but there comes a time when you need to stop telling this and start doing something (even an inch) about it.Maybe you haven't looked around, if you have you were too busy finding the defects. Yes Gujrat Riots and other incidents are extremly criticizable and sad events but freedom we excercise has some price and moreover bad evils always exist (even in USA).

  8. Patriotism maybe subjective according to you, but saying that your own people are "fucked up" is certainly not it.
And as you said, let's not digress from the topic. So could you please clarify, who actually is "fucked up"?
